The version '80a' has been the main capital ship of the Rebel Alliance and represented the majority of the Rebel battleships. At that times, Mon Cals were also used as medical frigates, starfighter carriers, and support craft. They were the flagship of the Battle Groups.
After much research efforts, the RA managed to develop the '80b' version, and the MC-80a were slowly phased out.
This ship has been in service duty for many many years but was never used in war operations. The crew assigned to her complained on this fact and requested to be deployed in a battle scenario several times, but the "right occasion" never occurred and the Intruder was eventually decommissioned and put in reserve in Navy custody until she was transferred to the Galactic Museum.
Honvik and Morgan Heaslet were passengers.
